Typing Skills

Since I started bloging I’ve been writing a lot more, and with that came some pain in my right wrist that moved a lot because I was using only two fingers to type with the right hand. And that’s when I realized I had to do something about it, I went ahead and started training in typing.com to improve my skills.

Typing.com

I spent a lot of time in this website and it really helped me get the basics of touch typing, that is typing without looking at the keyboard. It’s really hard in the beginning, but if you push through it without giving up it will become second nature. If you practice everyday and focus on the accuracy rather than speed you will improve much faster. In my first week I was getting 30 words per minute (wpm) already, in the second week I got around 40-45 wpm, then it jumped to 50-55 wpm in the third and now one and a half month later I’ve reached 70 wpm (my average is 67 wpm, 77 races). And now I’m using 10fastfingers.com or keybr.com to warm up and play.typeracer.com to practice.

Can you beat me?

My typing speed improved and it’s much faster than it was two months ago, along with that the pain in my wrist dissapeared, overall it was totally worth the effort. I suggest you start practing too and if you do start don’t give up! And challenge me if you think you’re a better typist!

How fast I’m typing?

Here is my current average, it gets updated everytime I race in play.typeracer.com:
